Chrome address appears at login, cannot delete
When clicking on firefox and once it comes on a chrome website appears in address bar. Have tried to delete, does not work. Went to menu, add-on and to extensions to delete and does not appear there. In left corner says problem loading page. Under address bar says File Not Found. Do not know how this address came to appear.

Screenshot of the problem?
"chrome://" URL's in the case of Firefox refers to the set of user interface elements of the application window that are outside the window's content area. Toolbars, menu bars, progress bars, and window title bars are all examples of elements that are typically part of the chrome.

Perhaps that chrome:// URL is part of an extension that you have installed that modifies the Homepage or that URL was setup inadvertently as your Homepage.
A screenshot would be helpful to determine that.
However do not understand screenshot so unable to do. I've always had firefox/mozilla as homepage and do not know how it came up chrome, I must have clicked on something unknowingly.

Hello sandi03,
If you need help to create a screenshot, please see :
How do I create a screenshot of my problem?
Once you've done this, attach the saved screenshot file to your forum post by clicking the Browse... button below the Post your reply box.

WebExtensions can't use chrome URIs, so it is likely a reference to an internal file.
@ sandi03 :
Separate issue :
Your system details show that you need to update your Adobe Flash Player - you're running an older version, which can cause problems. Would you please uninstall your current version and install the latest version, which is 32.0.0.142
Uninstaller : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Note : some 'extras' may be offered in the download.
My icon for Adobe says Adobe XI Reader. I will go into my programs to see if I have flash. The 3rd party info on home page did not work either.

You do have Flash - it shows as "Shockwave Flash" in the 3-bar menu => Add-ons => Plugins Your system details (to the right of your original post) show that you have Flash installed.
This article will explain the difference between "Adobe Reader" and "Adobe Flash Player":

('hope that helps .... )
You can find the path of installed plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can download the latest NPAPI Flash plugin for Firefox on this page.
Make sure to remove checkmarks for including unwanted additional software.
Thanks for all the helpful information. I remember getting a youtube email and this must have started all my problems. I print out all the advice so I can try to eliminate the problem.
Thanks
It still would be great if you could provide a screenshot .....
Or : maybe you could copy the URL of that "chrome" address and paste it here ?
