When trying to "reply all" I get an error message. Other email replies work. Just not group ones.
This is the error message I get - The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds a temporary size limit of the server. The message was not sent; try to reduce the message size or wait some time and try again. The server responded: #4.5.3 Too many recipients..
There are no attachments, pictures or anything in the reply - just a simple group reply email. I've even tried deleting all the names and just using the group email list I set up but it still rejects it.
It did it the first time and I had to remove everyone except the original sender, then still wouldnt send. Gave up for awhile and came back later and it sent (just to the one person) but I need to be able to send "reply all" or group emails.
Help please !!
Thanks.

re : #4.5.3 Too many recipients.
This message comes from the server/ Internet Service Provider (ISP) you are using, and may be indicating that you are exceeding a limit on the number of emails you are allowed to send in a given period. I've read before that if ONE invalid email address is in the mail list, the server choked on it and gave the silly "too many recipients" error. Whilst the person sending the original email may be able to send to many recipients perhaps they use a mail distribution system, it does not necessarilly mean you can do the same as limits imposed on you could be different.
452 4.5.3 code is just a signifier of the type of error. Some people may receive just a 452 error or a 4.5.3 error, but both mean the same thing, your e-mail was bounced back because those recipients were over the limit allowed by your account.
This is not a message from Thunderbird.
Note: just because you are sending one email, the server has to send onwards one to each person in the list, so if there are 100 in the list then that is 100 emails.
It may also be connected to another issue: http://kb.mozillazine.org/5.7.1_Unable_to_relay Some servers reject mail send request when login is not properly done by user. This is similar to "5.7.1 Replaying denied" case. Maybe the smtp server you are using is not authenticating the email. Check your server settings for outgoing server (smtp). Are you trying to send using a particular email address, but actually sending using an smtp outgoing server configured for a different email address.
Thank you for your reply. Maybe I will give my email provider a call tomorrow and see if they can help me.
Background info - It's a bit of an ugly one as my email is not the same as my ISP provider (and getting help from the ISP provider is near on impossible...even though they said it would work and it had been - had a problem in October that finally found someone capable and it was fixed and working but now the issue has raised its ugly head again, so they want me to pay them to fix it...NO).
Incoming was fine but couldn't send so hence I searched and found this program and have been happy so far but no good if I cant fix this problem :(
Sorry just saw your second reply. At the moment it is only 6 emails in the list.
However I do a newsletter for our club and that goes out to 60 plus members. Its bi-monthly so haven't hit that issue just yet, but if worse comes to worse will try to send that through the club g-mail account.
