mouse cursor issues with Google Maps
Suddenly my mouse cursor is erratic when I am using Google Maps through Firefox. The cursor is invisible and shows up erratically on the screen. Very hard to select anything on a map. This problem seems to have started out of the blue yesterday (September 10, 2021). I made no changes to anything that I am aware of. This problem does not happen on any other browser page, or any other application on my PC. Just Google maps through Firefox. I tried Google Chrome and the cursor worked fine.

More info - My problem seems to be associated with how fast I move the mouse. If I move it slowly enough, I can see it move and control where it lands. I think this is mouse lag problem?
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Settings -> General: Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available" - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings
Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make changes effective.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
I have the same problem but not on google map but on various website using gmap component or on Figma. I've try the solution above but it doesn't worked.
I experience the same problem. I followed the steps above but it did not make a difference unfortunately
I have same problem of mouse courser disappearing over maps. It works fine in all other uses. Problem seems tied to Firefox as when I visit the same map/search results while not using Firefox, the mouse works fine. This problem has been ongoing for about 6-8 weeks and appeared out of nowhere. I've updated the drivers for the mouse and graphics card, without success. I've also disabled hardware acceleration in Firefox without success. I've changed search engines in FF, no success. Firefox advice and help with this frustrating glitch will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
