clearing all website data for a particular website
fedex.com has broken my browser!
I have a FedEx account for my business, but I no longer use it. However, I also receive packages from FedEx from time to time. For reasons that cannot be explained by anyone at FedEx, my Firefox browser will not allow me to create a new FedEx account to manage my deliveries. In other words, after I enter my new username & password, the FedEx website comes back with a failure message with words to the effect that, "This didn't work, please refresh your page."
I called FedEx tech support & learned they are now totally incompetent. The only solution that was offered was "Clear all of your browser history". I didn't fall for that - I did however delete all history with "fedex" in the link. I also removed all 31 cookies associated with fedex.com. Then, I re-started the browser, and tried again:
Upon summoning the fedex.com login page, the login information was pre-filled with the userid & password for my old, unused business account! How does this happen without cookies or history? Where is fedex.com getting this data? Is it stored on my browser - or does fedex.com have some nefarious scheme whereby they're using my computer id or IP or???
I need to delete every shred of data in my browser that is associated with FedEx - how do I do this?

Firefox's password manager could pre-populate a login form. To manage saved logins:
Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox
Unfortunately, that doesn't fix the problem. After removing the login/password entry in Firefox containing the old, unused business account, I deleted cookies for fedex.com, and tried again.
The userid & password were not "filled in", and I entered the new userid and password. Unfortunately, I received the same response from fedex.com: "We are having trouble establishing a connection. Please refresh the page." Reloading the page gets me another login screen, but further login attempts always lead back to the "We are having trouble..." screen again - ad nauseum.
FWIW, I can login successfully to fedex.com from my Safari browser on my Mac. I have never used Safari to login to FedEx before this evening - this is what led me to suspect something perhaps like a "super cookie" that can't be ignored
Any other thoughts? I've never seen anything like this.
To Post on the Mozillazine Forum I have to use a Test Profile as I have Enable HTTPS in All Windows chkd AND My FF Profile -- WON'T Respect the Exception -- for the Forum HTTP URL (still nets HTTPS site that has Issues).
Would you be willing to make a Test Profile free of any addons/special settings and attempt the FedEx Acct setup on it. It's NOT really that hard to clk a 2nd FF shtcut when I want to post on the Forum.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

My post was to illustrate that when you cannot find a solution in your Main FF Profile an Alternate approach is to attempt your Goal in a New Profile I called TEST - you can name it anything. WITH FF CLOSED .... I did - RUN - entered .... firefox.exe -p ......and got the FF Profile Mgr where I created a new Profile and named it TEST, which makes its Name (ie) ieitpaeq.TEST ........ The new profile goes in Same Folder as your -- .default -- or "main" profile. For My Win 10 it's in -- C:\Users\MyName Admin\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. I then made a desktop shtcut with the address ...... "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P TEST (or substitute Your Name for TEST) and Named the Shtcut -- FF TEST Closed -- meaning the Main Profile is closed when TEST is Open. To have BOTH FF Profiles Open together i made a 3rd Shtcut = "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P TEST -no-remote ..... The addition of -no-remote allows BOTH to be open. Named it -- FF TEST OPEN -- name as desired......
I can barely spell kumputer, but I learned this stuff by forums and trial & error. A 2nd TEST Profile approach is just a suggestion but good knowledge for later IF you attempt & succeed creating another Profile. Delete it IF / When desired

This seemed a good idea (I'm sure it is), but unfortunately also failed :( For now, I am going to write this off as FedEx incompetence, but that's not an entirely satisfying answer because it doesn't explain why it works in Chrome?!

I'll provide more details here so that others can test this:
1. I have been trying to activate the "FedEx Delivery Manager" in an effort to tell the driver to "STOP LEAVING MY PACKAGES OUT IN THE RAIN"... I have a covered porch!!
2. I've been through a nutroll on this: different stories from FedEx customer service, total ignorance from FedEx tech support, etc. Finally made some progress about a week ago & got to the webpage to enroll; they were to send me a postcard with a "Activation Code" & a URL to enter it. When I go to that URL, I log in, and then enter the "Activation Code". But what I get is a message on their website: "We are having trouble establishing a connection. Please refresh the page." ! WHich of course does not work!!!
The URL is 'fedex.com/fdmactivate'
No doubt the FedEx website is the most stubborn incompetence I've ever encountered. I've made several fonecalls, attempted "escalation", etc with no success. And they expect to get a premium price for this "service"?? Excuse the rant, but I hate when people waste my time.
Same issue as the other thread that is now archived, Fedex tracking on firefox mobile (android) works great, on desktop with tracking disabled and the adblock off for fedex, I'm getting the error. F12 shows a CORS error for the API... If someone ever find a way to fix this, it's been like this for months. (FF on Ubuntu 22.04) cheers! :)
