switch to newer version
I have had problems with virus programs and repairs. First I got blue screen took it to Best Buy they totally screwed it up. When I got it back they lost my D drive and totally changed the personally of the computer. I could not longer access Firefox with the code and they lost all my bookmarks. I managed to get some of the bookmarks with an older version of Firefox however, I want to use a newer version but apparently I can't take my bookmarks with me in addition I have an old Firefox file on my C drive but can't copy bookmarks without losing the bookmarks I already have installed. To try and put it simply, I want to go to new version of Firefox and take both sets of my bookmarks

If you didn't have current bookmarks or profiles or data backup before taking to BestBuy there's not much that can be done. And if you lost access to your firefox account there's also nothing more anyone can do since no one has access to your account.
You can export the current bookmarks to an HTML backup and restore this backup after you have restored the bookmark from a JSON backup.
