How do I keep past links coming up?
I want to get rid of all my past links in the bar as it takes forever to load the present one I want. I'm elderly and want things as simple as possible.

Do you mean the list that appears below in the location bar when you start typing a URL? You can control what suggestions Firefox displays there. Try the settings in this article: Location bar autocomplete | How to | Firefox Help.
