All your persona examples show the "persona" all the way to the top of the screen, but I have a top band that chops off the top of the persona and shows the top of my windows desktop.....
I think I used to be able to see more of my selected persona until I updated. Now there is a band at the very top of the screen that is a "frosted" view of my desktop

Try to disable transparency.
Right click in a free space on your desktop.
Left click on Personalization.
There are four options in Windows 7 at the bottom of the screen, choose "Window Color and Appearance".
Select a border color
Uncheck: "Enable transparency"
