Since FF has updated to the new version (without my permission) my settings are all screwed up!

I am so damned tired of this browser. My home page was reset to FF even after I reset it many times, it now starts with FF page only. The new FF has decided to forget all of my passwords. My facebook login no longer comes up, it has decided to keep some old login that comes up every time and I must retype my current login each time. I cannot get it to remember the theme I have set either. All of this happened when it updated itself recently.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
