Firefox is blocking access on port 21 to my FTP server. How to remove the block?
FireFox is blocking me from accessing my FTP server at home on port 21. There must be a relatively simple way to remove this block. Where and how do I remove it???

I don't think Firefox has a feature to block specific port numbers. I stand corrected, see next response.
Could you describe the error message you're getting?
Or if there isn't a specific error, could you check for any notification icons to the left of the address on the address bar and click them to see what information they provide.

Well, actually it does. Both articles specified under your reply are handling the issue though... I just hope that what is described in there will work!
Oops, it didn't occur to me you were using http:// with an ftp server on port 21. Could you use ftp:// instead?
I was not using http://. I was simply using the server IP address with the FTP port specification... I assumed that FireFox should be intelligent enough to select between http:// and ftp:// depending on the port number by itself...

Sorry, same error on both port 20 and 21. I will try the suggestion from cor-el...
