I just replaced XP with XP-64. Windows Internet Explorer doesn't work with it. I have used Firefox and Thunderbird all along, but I can't download them without a working browser. Is there any way to download Firefox and save it on a disk or ext drive to transfer it to my XP-64?

Download the full (offline) installer package from here, using a different PC.

Note: Firefox for Windows is not available in a 64-bit version.

Save the installer to a USB stick or drive to transfer it to that PC.

Almost, but my XP-64 doesn't have SP2, or even SP-1.

Please try a Windows support forum for further help, specifically about how you can get IE working and /or getting SP2 or 3 installed. Your problem is far beyond downloading Firefox. Without SP2 you can't even install a fairly recent version of Firefox.

Maybe consider a different OS version or type, Linux possibly. Linux is nearly always free & there is probably a fully supported secure version suitable for a PC otherwise running XP. You could even consider dual-booting, or using a virtual machine. Note even if you updated XP you would not have MS support. Presumably the XP is a pirated copy and will not have free MS AV.

All this is well outside the scope of the is forum, other than the to recommendation to use up to date and supported software.
