Running Windows XP-sp3 and, previously, AOL Desktop which uses Internet Explorer. There are many email files "Saved-on-my-computer" stored via this system.

I want to use FireFox to access AOL instead. That part works fine, BUT I need to be able to access my previous AOL email files.

Does anyone know how?

SCatFirefox, I did find that you could import bookmarks from AOL Explorer: http://yourbusiness.azcentral.com/transferring-aol-bookmarks-firefox-9... as well as saving the mail and creating a back up before migration: http://email.about.com/od/aoltips/qt/Recover_Mail_and_Other_AOL_Data_from...

However I as far as I understand, all of AOL's webmail is stored on their mail servers, thus you can access all email that shows in the inbox from there. Or you can import the Filing Cabinet back to the AOL webmail: http://www.ehow.com/how_7346991_recover-email-saved-pc-f...

Unfortunately I could not find a supported importer to import this file to Thunderbird. Specifics for importing however can be found here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_AOL_and_AIM_mail

I have not tried this, so there may be a better solution, however this is what I found existed for importing those files.

I hope this helps.
