I cannot delete a contact from collected addresses as whenever I try it keeps reappearing.
I am using Thunderbird 24.6.0. I have tried to delete a contact from collected addresses with no luck. Whenever I delete an address and then shut down Thunderbird, it reappears when I next start Thunderbird. How can I overcome this?

24 uses the address book as a white list for graphics. You delete the address then allow graphics for it or send an email to the address and it reappears.
Thunderbird has updated to 31.1.2 since I posted my query. However, the problem remains in that: (a) I cannot delete a contact from "collected addresses". I used to be able to do this but something has changed recently. (b) "Collected addresses" appears to collect addresses from incoming e-mails as well as those in outgoing e-mails. I have now switched "collected addresses" off. (c) I cannot add a contact to my personal address book.
It seems that the software concerned with the address book has developed a fault. Can I rebuild the address book without having to remove Thunderbird completely?
