My computer crashed and when it restarted I was asked to refresh Firefox. I have now lost all my bookmarks etc. There is no 'old Firefox data' folder - help!

My computer crashed (blue screen) and when it restarted a box came up asking me to refresh Firefox. I clicked OK (thinking it was just trying to restore the session) and have now lost all my bookmarks, saved passwords etc. There is no 'old Firefox data' folder anywhere on my system - help! is there any way I can get it all back without doing a system restore? I'm on Windows 7.

Hi, you can try this for bookmarks only: First open bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Restore, and see if you have a backup there.

If not, and for other than bookmarks, please see -

Just to add, I've now tried to do a system restore and Windows has cheerfully informed me that it hasn't created any sytem restore points, so I can't even do that!
