As you can see in the cropped screenshot, a search engine titled "Default" keeps getting added by itself, and no matter which search engine is selected, searching anything will result in a Yahoo search page appearing.

I have tried removing the "default" search and also uninstalling Firefox and installing it again. Those didn't do anything.

Hi, you have an extension called More Results Hub 2.0.5830.18835 which I suspect is causing your problem. So first try removing it or disabling it in your extensions (Ctrl+Shift+A). If it comes back, you can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

After removal you may need to reset your home page and search, which you can do by running the add-on SearchReset.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
