I am not sure how I should interpret when ESR version will update to version 45. It will be in March or May? When NPAPI will be removed. I need confirmation what the date is . We are preparing a new solution which allowed us not to be dependent on NPAPI, but crucial is when We should be ready ? At that moment our clients are using ECR 38.X so, how long they can operate this version?

hi, automatic updates on the esr channel will be turned on once 38.8.0 gets deprecated and 45.2.0 becomes available at the end of may. however, to my knowledge, nothing should change in regards to NPAPI support in 32bit versions of firefox in the next esr cycle...

dropping support for NPAPI plugins won't happen before the end of 2016: https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/
