Clicked "Run" on Firefox download and nothing happens. How do I install?

I attempted to install Firefox by clicking on the download button then clicking "run" on the pop-up for Firefox Installer in Internet Explorer. Then I click "run" again on the Open File Security Warning pop-up. The hourglass pops up for a few seconds and then disappears. I've also saved it to my desktop and tried to open from there. In that instance it says it is extracting, then an hourglass, then nothing. I've also tried "save and run" as well. I have all the system requirements. Thanks for your help!
