From time to time Firefox will hang. Sometimes it Crashes. When I run a compatibility check the response indicates that Firefox is not compatible with Windows 10 Home Edition. Apparently Windows 10 Home Edition sets compatibility to Windows 8 to "fix" this problem. FYI.

Did you let the browser do an update, or did you get the full installer?

Shut down Firefox. Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)

Right click on Firefox.exe and select Properties. Now select Compatibility. Turn Off Run This Program In Compatibility Mode, and Run This Program As An Administrator.

Do the same for any Firefox shortcuts you have. Now restart Firefox.

Does the Windows Event log give more detail about what goes wrong?
