Visual Glitch When Uploading Images (Ubuntu 20.04, Firefox 94)
As the subject says, when attempting to upload images from my computer (Ubuntu 20.04 on Firefox 94), often but not always, the result will be a visual glitch similar to the image attached. The only time which I have ever used Zoom on Firefox, the same issue happened when I tried to use my webcam, except that the lines rapidly changed colours.
I apologize if this issue has been solved in another thread, but this is a bit hard to describe without the picture, so my attempts to search for said thread were unsuccessful.
The issue is not present when I upload the images in question via mobile. Turning off my extensions has no effect.
The image attached is taken directly from attempting to upload a profile picture to my Firefox account, but I have experienced this issue with websites like Twitter and Ebay for example. I have never had this issue with Imgur, for example, even though I am doing nothing different (uploading images). I do not know why this only occurs for a select few websites.
Any responses or help is appreciated!

Do you have the same issues in Safe Mode? Try downloading another copy of Firefox and run it from the folder. Do not sign into your Firefox account and see if you have the same issue.

This can happen if the images are drawn on canvas and you block this access. This can happen if you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" or you have an extensions that blocks this.
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages about blocked content.

The problem persists even after disabling enhanced tracking protection and disabling all of my extensions. I'm not sure how to allow access to canvas or check the web console, could you tell me how?
Thanks!

Do you mean safe mode as in booting my computer from safe mode? I don't believe I've ever booted my PC in safe mode (I have used it so little that I'm not even sure if that exists on Ubuntu, but I would guess it does).
Installing a new version of Firefox without logging into my account and attempting to change my profile picture on Twitter (which I also have problems with [I only got around this by changing it on mobile]) had the same problem.
I'll attempt to attach an image of some random squiggles I made in GIMP to this reply. The preview it shows me seems to be fine, but attempting to upload a profile picture to Firefox Accounts still results in the glitch.
