Thunderbird- autocomplete email address not found in any address book

Autocomplete keeps popping up an obsolete (and no longer working) email address for a friend of mine. I've searched all the address books and that email is not found. I deleted and rebuilt the global-messages-db.sqlite file.

Nothing I try removes this old email from the autocomplete list.

nsolot, In tools > developer tools > error console do you see entries about address book?
