loading a link from the command line in a specific profile
Hi,
I need Firefox to open a window using a particular profile due having multiple logins to the the same website. However, I'm running into a Catch-22. I need it to also have the same behavior as if I use the "default profile" where it just opens a new tab if I try to open a second link. BUT, it needs to be with the appropriate profile. I've tried two different command line arguments and fail both ways:
[FF path] -no-remote -P [prof1] This does what I want as long as I only open one link and then immediately close the window, but if I open another link before closing the window, it gives me the "Firefox is already running" error
[FF path] -P [prof1] As you probably already know if you're savvy enough to help me with this problem, this ignores the profile and uses the default profile
So my question really is this: If I have multiple instances of FF open using different profiles and need to open another link from the command line in a new tab in a specific one of those instances/profiles, is there a way to do that?
Thanks!

Open all other instances with the -no-remote switch and that particular profile without that switch. Set that profile as the default in the Profile Manager and only use desktop shortcuts to launch Firefox directly without using the profile manager. Then you do not need to specify a profile to open additional links.
That would work, but unfortunately, I need more than one profile to have this behavior, so I can't just switch which profile is the default.
