Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the browsing history if you close Firefox.

You can also check the History settings.
To see all the History and Cookie settings, select:

  • Edit > Preferences > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

I fixed the problem by removing Firefox 4 and reverting to Firefox 3.6. Thanks
