I disabled that plugin checker tab, and now I get a second tab that points to falsehope.com looking for a donation.

I found that I had set the wrong line in the about:config file. I have now fixed this issue.

I accidentally set the update URL line to be false, and therefore Firefox was trying to load that page, and I guess the closest it could find was falsehope.com

Now I need to find the real URL that was supposed to be in there.
