viewing pane is cramped up and words over-run or are cut off
I upgraded to a new iMac. Now the viewing panes on Firefox are "cramped." i.e., the panes are small, some words overlap or are cut off. I have tried enlarging font and screen size and they work fine, but the viewing pane is still cramped. I do not have this problem with Safari and did not have this problem with my MacbookPro.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.
- Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
- Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.
