"http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR663.loop.shtml" will not display correctly with FF7.0.1 (WIN XP SP3). The mouse pointer is slow and jerky. FF3.6.23 works ok on the same PC.

On FF7.0.1 the page loads ok but the mouse pointer is slow and jerky. When moved, it disappears for a split second and reappears maybe 20mm further along. On FF3.6.23 on the same machine the pointer moves smoothly. When moved across the map the pointer coordinates do not update smoothly. I updated my Java to Ver 6 Update 29 but this did not help. I have another PC (same MoBo different video card) and FF7.0.1 works fine.

To avoid confusion:

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thanks cor-el but safe mode didn't help so I changed from Nvidia to Intel video and now FF7.0.1 works ok with "http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR663.loop.shtml". There is something about my combination of hardware that 7.0.1 doesn't like! Trouble is, this is a dual boot machine and openSUSE won't work with my Intel video so it looks like I'm stuck with FF3.6.23 for a while. Maybe the next version FF will like my hardware better??? Anyway, thanks again for trying to help.
