previously when accessing web page was asked to accept the certificate and that the connection was untrusted so I did so and I could log on to the page. now the same thing happens but I cant accept the certificate as when pressing button Get certificate nothing happens. Please do let me know how I can resolve that issue.

It shouldn't be necessary to accept certificates that often unless there is a real problem with a server like an expired certificate or the certificate is self signed.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
