I use Iceweasel (Firefox equivalent) exclusively on a Debian OS. Today I went to check my Google account Profile & was diverted to a page advising me that only Google Chrome; Firefox; Internet Exploder; & Safari work with Google Profiles. READ "ICEWEASEL" INSTEAD OF FIREFOX BELOW: "THIS HAPPENED" ps: Why is there no specific "Iceweasel Help"?

This forum is specifically for Firefox support, and not for any of the 3rd party browsers based upon Firefox code or 3rd party modified versions. Check with the Debian forum for specific Iceweasel support.

My suggestion for Google Accounts is to modify the User Agent string to make Google think you are using Firefox.

and if that doesn't work for that website, try this
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/

Thankyou the-edmeister, sorry about the confusion re Firefox/Iceweasel. I tried your suggestions to no avail. I have filed a bug report with the maintainers of Iceweasel: <pkg-mozilla-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org> G'b'ye for now - B.
