how do i download 25.0.1? where is the direct link to download?
when i log on to Firefox, a pop-up browser security tab states to "update to 25.0.1". When i click on the update tab, it never directs me to the site to update (it just looks for it without connecting) or begins to update the 25.0.1 version. When i go to the firefox website, it can find the 25.0.1 page and what they fixed, but there is no link to directly update the security.

Could you try using the "About Firefox" dialog?
Help > About Firefox > "Check for Updates" button
If the updater isn't working, try this page:

if your updater doesn´t work just download the Firefox exe from the website http://www.mozilla.org . Be sure that you deinstall your old version and install the latest.
