I wanted to set profile. When trying to open profile-manager using: firefox.exe -p or "\path\to\firefox.exe" -p, firefox browser is opening. SO restarted my system and tried again. The problem persists. Please help.

Mine is 64 bit Windows7 OS Firefox version 30.0

The key is to make sure Firefox is completely closed/exited first before trying to start Firefox with the ProfileManager. Otherwise a new window will just open instead.

Note that you need to check the Processes tab in the Windows Task Manager.

Hello cor-el, I have even tried to kill the Processes of firefox or mozilla... but none processes were alive.
