It was once possible to simply drag and drop TBird address book collected addresses into a Personal Address book. Why was this easy to use feature abandoned?
I want to copy the user and email information from one Personal Address book to others..

It still works that way. What is keeping you from doing that?
If you just drag and drop it moves the contact from one book to another. To copy you need to hold the control key while doing it. A plus sign will appear to indicate a copy instead of a move.

This doesn't work for me, but it did before.. Is there some specific setting that must be selected?
No. Can you drag and drop in other applications?
You are just trying to drag and drop the contacts and not the entire folder correct?
When was the last time you closed Thunderbird and rebooted your computer?
OK.. NOW it's working, I have no idea what changed???
