Firefox suddenly crashes without lagging before. When opening the Taskmanager it says that Firefox is still working , though the memory numbers start to decrease. Firefox cannot be started again before it is ended via taskmanager. Firefox version: 37.0.1 (updated it yesterday)

This only started after I updated Adobe Flash about an hour ago. Flash version: 17.0.0.169

I do not get any Crash Reports. I checked for the submitted crash reports and found that the last submitted report is from 2013.

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
