I updated a page on my website, but Firefox could not display the new webpage- I still saw the older version of the webpage. . I checked coding, timestamp on updated webpage and all looked fine. I exited Firefox, and restarted it, and went to my website, but the older version of my webpage still showed in the browser. Later I had the thought to CLEAR EVERYTHING using the History, View Recent History tool. I let that function run with all the boxes checked except the last two (the default boxes checked in vsn 37.0.2 CLEAR EVERYTHING tool) (unchecked boxes were offline website data and site preferences). Then I went back to the webpage and the updated page version showed this time. Am I supposed to have to CLEAR EVERYTHING periodically in order to see the most recent webpages in Firefox?

Try forcing a reload of that webpage, bypassing the cache by using {Ctrl + F5}.

My ISP also said this in email: Also note sometimes it's not only your browser caching pages but also your ISP can do this. If you have satellite or cable Internet, your provider may be using caching servers to save their own bandwidth. In that case there is not much to do but wait for their refresh cycle.
