I want to turn off the Interest-Based Ads feature of McAfee WebAdvisor. McAfee tech support told me to find WebAdvisor on my Firefox browser and go to Options/Settings/Interest-Based Ads (turn slider off). How do I get there? If I find WebAdvisor through the Firefox 3-bar Add-Ons/Extensions, I get only the option of disabling the whole program. Please advise.

It leaves me only the option of disabling the entire program.

Sounds like the best thing to do. I don't even think McAfee is planning to convert it into a WebExtension. I hope it dies when 57 hits. WebAdvisor is practically useless and doesn't help your browsing history. You know what does? Common sense.

Try asking McAfee tech support. Mozilla has nothing to do with McAfee which created that 3rd party add-on for Firefox.

Please read my query again. I have already asked McAfee. Their tech support gave me specific directions which I spelled out. My problem is that Firefox, at least as configured on this computer, does not seem to permit the steps McAfee explained. It leaves me only the option of disabling the entire program.
