So all of a sudden, with no changes from my side, i can no longer send emails from Thunderbird OR windows live mail which was sitting dormant until i revived it after having this Thunderbird email issue! I can receive emails but not send, i simply get this message: "The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: smtp687.syd.oss-core.net"

None of my 4 emails work now! Please help!!

So you have 2 different email clients failing. Sounds like you need to call your provider and see what changes you need to make.
