I'm using thunderbird for a years and now I have created a new account, problem is that doesn't appear the folder "sent", I go trough a panel, "Copies&Folder" and doesn't appear a folder sent, trough File->Subscribe, doesn' appear folder sent, then when I sent the e-mail, the e-mail has been sent, but I got and small screen with a message "Copyng message to sent folder" I have try to create by right click on my account->New folder, seems like everything is ok, but doen;t appear any folder. In my previous account, which I'm still using, everything works perfectly, I have compare all the settings, being them the same, how I can do to create a "sent" folder???

You have created a new account and mention 'Subscribe', so I'm assuming you have created an imap mail account. To check what type of account has been created:

  • Right click on mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
  • select 'Server Settings' for that mail account/email address.
  • Server Type: POP or IMAP will be mentioned here.

Imap mail accounts need to 'Subscribe' to see a remote view of the server 'Sent' folder. Right click on imap mail account and select 'Subscribe' to see list. Select folder and click on 'Subscribe', click on OK.

If 'Sent' or 'Sent Items' (depends upon what name the server uses) is not available in list: Logon to webmail account via a browser and check: Is the 'Sent' folder selected as able to be viewed via imap? Make sure it is selected.

Please report back on whether 'Sent' folder was selected or whether you needed to select it.
