When I install the Bitdefender Internet Security System, the use of a Master Password causes that the Bitdefender Certificate is not correctly installed. And this will cause that Secure websites that start with HTTPS:// wil not be opened. I get an error message that the website is not safe and cannot be opened. Bitdefender advises to disable the Master Password and install Bitdefender again, or: In Firefox goto Menu > Options > Privacy & Safety > Scroll down to Certificates > View Certificates > Delete the Bitdefender certificates. Click Import > Select C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Security\mitm_cache Select fake-ca.crt and click Open which will install the correct Certificate Click OK and restart Firefox to see whether problem is solved. Enable Master Password again if you want. But the next time Bitdefender is installed again with the master password enabled, the problem repeats.

If your admin account is password protect any other accounts other then the admin/owner will require the password to update. And once the update is down switch back to the standard account. This will prevent malware or virus from getting and taking over the O/S.

I do not understand your reply. What do you mean with admin account? Protecting which other account? And how to update it?. I think your reply has nothing to do with the stated problem

There is usually no need to let security software act as a man-in-the-middle and inject its own certificate. This can cause issues and degrade your security because Firefox can't check the actual certificate and security software may not yet support the latest cipher suites and TLS version (TLS 1.3). Also if there are security related issues then Mozilla usually responds very quickly.
