Yesterday I had a new Samsung Smart TV installed and today when I have tried to access the internet, I get the above message and a blue box labelled "Open Network Login Page". When I click that box i get redirected to a blank page with the URL: http://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt.

Bookmarks work but it seems like anything that uses DNS doesn't work. I've changed the boolean for captive portal to false in the config but that then just produces blank pages for any url I enter. I'm stuck. Please can anyone shed a light on the problem ?

You should contact Samsung for your smart tv configuration and setup. firefox is a Browser not a network setup program. I don't recall seeing a smart tv browser as the manufacture custom makes their own.

Apologies. I wasn't clear. My tv is connected via HDMI to my PC and the browser is running on the PC. I also have a laptop on the same network that has the same issues. The issues also appear in Chrome and Microsoft edge which makes me think it's more likely to be a problem with my router or the ISP. Just seems a strange coincidence that it's appeared when I've attached a new tv to the network. BTW, I've removed the tv from the network and the problem persists

You might want to check your router settings.

Hi James, I've tried that already with no luck. It's my router as if I connect to my phone as a hotspot then no problems. I'll post again if/when I find the router problem. Thanks

Well if you are going to do stuff like get a new router then consider seeing if there is a firmware update for it. Depending on the brand and model there could have been a number of updates since you got it. Maybe it will help solve this issue.
