before the update, everything worked. Android 8.1.0.. . Firefox 79.0.3

I had the same experience initially after the Android Firefox was upgraded. Closing and restarting the Desktop Firefox fixed it: the Android's tabs appeared on Desktop, and I could send a tab from Desktop to Android.
