I cannot get the account installed..keeps saying wrong password/username etc ive checked and checked had thunderbird installed on windows 7 no prob ...but will not on this windows 10 pc im wondering if MS MAIL which is a terrible pain in the neck is somehow blocking install? geoff

Who is the mail provider, and what are your server settings? What is the antivirus, and what are its settings for email and secure connections?

Are you using the server settings given here and an app password instead of the regular account password?
