When I hit the Bookmarks drop down menu item is extremely wide, making it very cumbersome to access the arrows for submenus of bookmarks in folders.

I am running Mac OS 10.6.7. Everything was fine until recently, perhaps after upgrading to Firefox 4.0.1. Now the Bookmarks dropdown menu is extremely wide, with a lot of empty space between the bookmark listings on the left side of the drop down menu, and the arrows to access the submenus of folders within the bookmarks menu on the right side of the dropdown menu. I now have to navigate the mouse all the way over to the right side of the dropdown menu to access the submenus from these folders. This is very cumbersome. How can I fix this?

Problem solved. The bookmarks window is the width of the longest bookmark name/description. I edited my bookmark names to remove excess descriptions, and the width is now good.

That worked for me. I shortened the names and the bookmarks window width is now much better. However, I never had the problem before and have had the same bookmark names all along. So something must have changed with Firefox to allow long bookmark names to create this problem.
