webpages and menus all black
It seem to work in safe mode but the regular Firefox shows all black webpages and pull down menus Thunderbird is also not working right only all my mail is whited out and the scroll bars are missing. how can I fix it

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
turned out to be un installed font problem once I reinstalled all my fonts from a backup Firefox worked again
