How do I disable or unistall WOT from my computer. I do not need it and it has caused me nothing but problems.

That is an extension, right? You should be able to uninstall it from the Add-ons window, Extensions panel. You might have to remove settings from about:config that relate to WOT as well. Search for WOT and reset any settings you find.
