should i uninstall ie9 afewtr using firfox for two years?
I have been using Firefox as my browser for at least a couple years. I no long ever use IE9. Should I uninstall it? If I do, are there other programs on my PC that will be affected? If I should dump it, what is the best way to do it? Win 7 64-bit is my OS.

It is usually best to keep IE installed in case you need to for (MS) websites that require ActiveX controls to access them.
You should be able to disable IE shortcuts that Windows may be displaying automatically via setting in the control panel or start menu settings.
