Firefox download box no longer appears

My laptop is Win XP Pro and Firefox. Firefox updates are automatic.

When downloading a program or app. the Download Box always appeared and upon fully downloaded I click twice on the file name to proceed to the next steps of Save and Install.

But now the Download Box never appears and I'm having alot of problems.

( I am posting the question from my Vista/Firefox PC as most of my email and Help systems are on the PC )

Someone please help.

On the address bar, type about:config and press return.

(You will see a warning message --- heed it!)

Search for browser.download.useToolkitUI and click it to set it to true.

Done!
