Why does Firefox yield to IE when a VAIO mfg app is clicked?
When Sony factory installed software for updates is chosen (clicked) then IE9 (installed but not used) replaces Firefox. VAIO installed program must someway select IE. Can manually close VAIO program and go back to Firefox.

Have you tried Sony support to see how to get Firefox set as the default?

Yes, I tried Sony support with the question and they replied any response (from Sony) was unavailable. Apparently my model # is out of warranty. Tks
IMO, get used to those Sony programs wanting to use IE for updating or get rid of those Sony programs altogether.
