I have Firefox for PC version 26.0 and Firefox for Android version 26.0.1 and is my preferred browser.

I want to try out Google Chrome (to test our website and a few others with Firefox, IE, and Chrome). I also wanted to import my Firefox bookmarks to Chrome.

My Firefox for PC bookmarks are located in a folder called Mobile Bookmarks. The bookmarks are synced with my android. This folder was automatically created with the Sync feature in Firefox.

When I try to export my Firefox PC bookmarks, the Mobile Bookmarks folder does not export, only the few others that I have in Bookmarks Toolbar.

I even tried the direct import using Chrome. Same result. No Mobile Bookmarks folder, only the ones from Bookmarks Toolbar.

Hi jerryferreira, did Sync create that Mobile Bookmarks folder? Since it is not within the 3 standard containers, I think you might need to copy it onto the Bookmarks Menu. Obviously this creates the danger of duplication as long as Sync is active. Not sure what to suggest to avoid that.

Hi jerryferreira,
Sorry I have tried to answer your question, but I am not sure I understand what you are doing or seeing.

Apparently you have Firefox installed on a PC, so either a desktop or laptop presumably.

When you open the Firefox bookmarks library and export bookmarks that should export all your bookmarks to the chosen location as HTML. Although Firefox normally backs up using .JSON .

You may consider using Firefox Sync. But take care it is the backups on the devices that you create that are the backups, NOT anything on the sync server. (IIRC this system is no longer being developed, and may be replaced at a future date)

As you stated, "When you open the Firefox bookmarks library and export bookmarks that should export all your bookmarks to the chosen location as HTML." I agree with you, but that's not what's happening.

Attached is a screen capture of my bookmarks. As you can see, my bookmarks are in a folder called Mobile Bookmarks. I already am using Sync. What you see are the synced bookmarks when I synced my Firefox for PC and Firefox for Android. That is working perfectly.

I want to export these bookmarks so that I can import them to Google Chrome.

When I export from Firefox for PC, the created html file does NOT contain the Mobile Bookmarks. It only contains the few bookmarks that I have in the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Ahhh! Thank you! Yes, Sync did create that folder. I will copy my bookmarks to one of the 3 standard containers, then export, then delete the copies of my bookmarks.

Again, thanks!!!
