My T-bird Inbox suddenly has a black bar behind the tab, overlaying the minimize/etc buttons.
The black bar looks like a "theme" and also affects my other folders. Open message windows have the (old) blue bar at the top, and the minimize/resize/close buttons are clearly visible there. How do I get the black bar on the folders to go away so I can see the buttons?

Do you use a theme other than the default one?

THANK YOU! There was a theme there that had a note saying it was incompatible with version 24.4.0. I never would have found that on my own. Deleted it, restarted T-bird and the problem is solved.
