Since yesterday's update, when I start Thunderbird, it appears in the task bar, but not on the desktop. Right-clicking it does not give me a menu (it used to be that it opened outside the visible desktop area, but I could select "move" and get it inside the desktop with the cursor keys). "Switch to" in the task manager also has no visible effect.

Kill thunderbird.exe in Task Manager. Then try to start Thunderbird again.

Thanks. Not even rebooting helped. I solved it in the end by starting Thunderbird in Safe Mode. Seems to work now.

If safe mode works, the problem was caused by an add-on. So check your add-ons to eliminate the problem.
