Why does the new Sync service require my date of birth?
When trying to set up a Sync account in Firefox 29, I am asked for my date of birth. I do not see the relevance of this or why you need this detail. Previously DOB was not required. Why do you need it? Can I set it up without it?

hello, the sole purpose of this field is to determine that you're older than 13 years, which is necessary for legal purposes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children%27s_Online_Privacy_Protecti...).
