Manage data collection settings on Firefox for iOS
To manage technical and interaction data, studies, the daily usage ping and the automatic sending of crash reports:
- Open Firefox on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the menu button ☰ at the bottom-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to Support
- Toggle the following options on or off:
- Send technical and interaction data – Shares device, hardware, and usage data with Mozilla to help improve Firefox features, performance and stability. For details, see Manage technical and interaction data collection settings in Firefox.
- Install and run studies – Allows Mozilla to test experimental features before public release. For details, see About Studies.
- Daily usage ping – Helps Mozilla estimate the number of active users. For details, see the Manage daily usage ping data collection settings in Firefox.
- Automatically send crash reports – Sends crash data to help diagnose and fix browser issues. For details, see Crash reports in Firefox for iOS.
- Close the settings when done — your changes are saved automatically.
To manage sponsored content data and recent activity:
- Open Firefox and tap the menu button ≡ at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Settings, navigate to the following to adjust your preferences:
- For Search Suggestions, go to General > Search and scroll down to Address bar - Firefox Suggest > Suggestions from Sponsors - Provides the ability to turn on or off sponsored search suggestions.
- For Sponsored Stories, go to General > Homepage and scroll down to Include on Homepage > Thought-Provoking Stories - Provides the ability to turn on or off sponsored stories on New Tab.
- For Sponsored Shortcuts, go to Homepage > Shortcuts > Sponsored Shortcuts - Provides the ability to turn on or off sponsored shortcuts on a New Tab.
- For Shortcuts, go to Homepage > Shortcuts > Shortcuts - Provides the ability to turn on or off icons displaying recent downloads, sites or bookmarks.

Manage data collection settings on Firefox for Android
To manage technical and interaction data, studies, the daily usage ping, the automatic sending of crash reports and campaign data:
- Open Firefox on your Android device.
- Tap the 3-dot menu button on the right of your toolbar.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Privacy & security.
- Under Data collection, adjust the following options:
- Send technical and interaction data – Shares device, hardware, and usage data with Mozilla to help improve features, performance and stability . For details, see Manage technical and interaction data collection settings in Firefox.
- Install and run studies – Allows Mozilla to test experimental features before public release. For details, see About Studies.
- Daily usage ping – Helps Mozilla estimate the number of active users. For details, see Manage daily usage ping data collection settings in Firefox.
- Automatically send crash reports – Sends crash data to help diagnose and fix browser issues. For details, see Crash reports in Firefox for Android.
- Campaign measurement data – Shares information on how you discovered Firefox with Mozilla’s marketing partners. For details, see Manage marketing data settings in Firefox for Android.
- Changes are saved automatically — simply exit the settings.
To manage sponsored content data and recent activity:
- Open Firefox and tap the 3-dot menu button on the right of your toolbar.
- Select Settings, navigate to the following to adjust your preferences:
