When can we expect CardDAV support?

CardDAV is an industry standard for Address Books, supported by:

  • Apple
  • Google
  • Microsoft

competing email clients such as

  • Outlook
  • Evolution
  • emClient

and major cloud providers such as

  • OwnCloud
  • iCloud

It's a no brainer to have as a high priority development item.

It functions but is a pain to setup. Especially if you have a lot of machines / operating systems you have to use to check your email. I think CardDAV support should be 1st party & integrated by now.

Bonus points if it syncs to the cloud like FireFox Sync
